In this section, you will find a list of common Vascular procedures and how they are performed. Mr Holdaway performs these procedure in various settings including, operating theaters, catheter laboratories, medical imaging departments and also in our rooms.
Most vascular conditions, need some form of diagnostic imaging prior to treatment, which may take the form of either an Ultrasound, CT Scanning, MRI or a Angiography.

All of our patients are provided with informed financial consent prior to any operation and written instructions.
This section explains what you should expect to occur during a routine procedure for your particular condition.
Patients having a general/spinal or epidural anaesthetic need to fast from solids for 6 hours and clear liquids for 4 hours.
In general, dialysis patients should dialyse the day prior to any procedure. Diabetic patients will need their insulin or medication adjusted according to the fasting requirements of the procedure.
